Mamaroneck Teens Finish Cross-Country Bike Trek For Cancer Research

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Five Westchester County teens finished a cross-country bike relay for pediatric cancer research on July 24 at the Golden Gate Bridge, after beginning their journey on July 1 at the Brooklyn Bridge.

In total, the quintet covered nearly 4,000 miles over 13 states in the span of 23 days.

The relay raised more than $10,000 for Relay X America, which sponsors bike relays for pediatric cancer research and treatment.

The five riders were Erika Feldman, formerly of Mamaroneck; Harrison High School senior Cassidy Marriott; Mamaroneck High School senior Tustin Neilson; Harrison High School junior William Marriott; and Jean Mpalomby, who graduated from Mount Vernon High School in June.

They will be back home in the area sometime in mid-August.
