MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Jean B. Jacopino, a longtime resident of Mamaroneck, died Dec. 6. She was 87.
She was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Bronx, N.Y. to the late John and Vinchenza Guarino. In 1941, she married Dominick Jacopino. Late in life, she earned an associate's degree and became a teacher at the American School for the Deaf.
Jacopino was a member of the Columbettes and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 90.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce Rapacioli and Barbara Gatto, her son Robert Jacopino, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Jacopino was predeceased by her husband Dominick in 1979 and her daughter Linda Vega.
Friends may visit the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Vito's Church in Mamaroneck, followed by entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
