Crews from Andersen Windows and  Interstate + Lakeland Lumber of Greenwich also joined the workers.

The “Homes for Heroes” Program works to provide comfortable energy-efficient housing for area military veterans who have served our county in the Middle East, through their “sweat-equity” participation and the help of the many Habitat for Humanity volunteers and partners.

The 20 new energy-efficient Andersen 400 Series windows were donated by Andersen Corp. and Interstate + Lakeland Lumber for the newly constructed duplex, the most recent construction project in Habitat for Humanity’s goal to rebuild Westchester’s neglected neighborhoods.

The project continued to show volunteers, building materials suppliers and builders can build community spirit.

“We are so grateful for our partners, Andersen Windows, Interstate Lumber and Murphy Brothers," said Habitat Director Jim Killoran. "We had a great day and it helps our veteran and his family coming closer to making this house their home.”
