MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Lifelong Mamaroneck resident Renato "Ray" DiVito died Jan. 27 at the age of 84.
Born Nov. 24, 1927 in Mamaroneck, he was son of the late Renato and Bartolomea DiVito. An Army veteran, DiVito worked as a builder and spent his professional life learning the business of the trade.
He also volunteered at the Montrose Veterans Hospital, providing patients with entertainment. As a member of the Port Chester Elks Club for more than 20 years, DiVito devoted much of his time to fundraising for cerebral palsy research.
DiVito is survived by his wife, the former Rose Ann Marando, his daughters Patricia Ann (Michael) Forte and Jodi Ann (Joe) Troisi, his sister Adele (Joe) Manso and three grandsons. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph DiVito and his sister Joanne Colasacco.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Vito's Church in Mamaroneck, followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
