LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Edwina White Reynolds, a former 60-year resident of Larchmont, died March 16 at the age of 93.
Reynolds was born in Bronxville to the late Edward and Mary Shields White. She was married to Thomas F. Reynolds Jr. in July of 1941 at St. Augustine's Church in Larchmont by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.
A devoted parishioner of Sts. John and Paul Church and proponent of community service, Reynolds was a member of the Ladies of Charity for more than 40 years. She was also a former member of Winged Foot Golf Club. Most recently living in The Osborn in Rye, Reynolds was the matriarch of a family of 71.
She is survived by her sons Tom (Barbara), Peter (Josephine), Bob (Phyllis) and Jerry (Ellen), her daughters Mary (Lou) Commisso and Maureen (Peter) Vincent, 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 2003 and her siblings Mercedes Walsh, Mary Lorini, Alice O'Rourke, Cyril White, Irene Connors and Patricia LeMoult.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral mass will be held at Sts. John and Paul Church in Larchmont at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
