Last year, 9-year-old Florida resident Tyler Carach started the “I DONUT need a reason to THANK a cop” campaign, doling out thousands of doughnuts to police departments throughout the country in an effort to spread good will toward law enforcement agencies.

As part of their National Night Out celebration, Tyler, more commonly referred to as “Donut Boy” was sworn in as the New Rochelle Police Commissioner for a day. After delivering his doughnuts to the police department and taking over, “Donut Boy” was later a part of the festivities that included Harbor Unit tours, equipment demonstrations, raffles food and music.
