$152K Dump Truck Pilfered in Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A landscaping company found the chain at its parking lot gate cut and a 2008 blue Kenworth Motor dump truck worth $152,497.00 stolen the morning of Sept. 13. In addition to the second-degree grand larceny, the New Rochelle-based landscaping company also reported its EZ Pass tag stolen.

The following items were also reported in the Town of Mamaroneck Police Blotter from Sept. 8 to Sept. 13.

Aggravated Harassment: A Senate Place resident received harassing text messages and phone calls from an unknown person. They reported the second-degree aggravated harassment to the town police Sept. 13.

Identity Theft: The IRS informed a Carleon Avenue resident that someone tried to fill a tax return in their name. The victim reported the third-degree identity theft at police headquarters Sept. 12.

Criminal Mischief: Police received a report of a car's driver-side window being broken on Boston Post Road Sept. 10.

Identity Theft: Two Locust Ridge Road residents reported Aug. 30 that someone tried to cash two fake checks worth a total of $14,418.38 against their account. The case is under investigation.
