Another String of Robberies Hits Larchmont

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Larchmont Police reported Wednesday that several cars parked in the village between Dec. 19 and Dec. 24 were broken into and personal items were taken.

This string of robberies is the most recent in what police said is becoming a trend in the village. On Dec. 16, seven cars were broken into on a single night, four of which were parked on Jochum Avenue. The victims reported a total of $248 worth of property stolen. On Dec. 1, two Larchmont homes and a car were all broken into and more than $3,500 was reported stolen.

Most recently, a Town of Mamaroneck woman reported on Dec. 24 that someone stole $1,000 worth of property from her car, which was parked and unoccupied on Boston Post Road. On Dec. 22, a Summit Avenue man reported someone broke into his car, which was parked and possibly left unlocked in his driveway, and stole $800 worth of property.

A few days earlier on Dec. 19, a Pine Brook woman also left her car unlocked in her driveway and reported missing $110 worth of property. The same day, the owner of a Palmer Avenue store reported that merchandise delivered earlier in the day and left outside the store was stolen. The merchandise was valued at $180.
