Bench Memorializing Late Larchmont Baby Stolen

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- An outdoor bench dedicated to the memory of Delaney Smith , who died suddenly in 2009 at two months of age, was reported stolen from the sidewalk outside of the Golden Shoestring Oct. 11. The bench, valued at $1,200, was dedicated in October 2010.

The following incidents were also reported in the Larchmont Police blotter from Oct. 8 to Oct. 15.

Criminal Mischief: A Larchmont Department of Public Works employee reported discovering damage to the bathroom and plumbing at Lorenzen Field on Oct. 11.

Graffiti: A Larchmont Police Officer discovered graffiti on a building on Guilder Street on Oct. 11.

Larceny: A Beach Avenue resident reported on Oct. 12 that someone posted $105 in fraudulent charges on his credit card.

Criminal Mischief: A Palmer Avenue resident reported on Oct. 13 that someone broke her garage window.

Larchmont Police Officers also responded to 10 burglar alarms, six motor vehicle accidents, six aided cases and 44 other calls for service.
