Bicycles, Account Information, Stolen in Larchmont

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Larchmont police received two reports of stolen bicycles over the past week. On Aug. 2, a Town of Mamaroneck resident reported his bicycle, valued at $800, was taken from the bicycle rack in Lot 1. On Aug. 1, another Town of Mamaroneck resident reported his bicycle, valued at $600, was taken from the bicycle rack in Lot 3.

The following items also appeared in the Larchmont Police Department blotter between July 30 and Aug. 6.

ABC Law Arrest: A 17-year-old Town of Mamaroneck resident was arrested early in the morning Aug. 1 for possession of an alcoholic beverage on Lyons Place. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to his parent.

Criminal Mischief: A Larchmont Department of Public Works employee reported Aug. 1 someone had cut down a Village-owned tree, valued at $1,200, on Maple Avenue at the intersection of Cedar Avenue.

Larceny: A Town of Mamaroneck resident reported Aug. 1 that his bicycle, valued at $600, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 3.

Larceny: A representative of a Boston Post Road firm reported on Aug. 2 that someone had fraudulently cashed a check of over $560 drawn against the business account.

Larceny: A Town of Mamaroneck resident reported on Aug. 2 that his bicycle, valued at $800, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 1.

Larceny: A West Avenue resident reported on Aug. 2 that someone accessed his credit card account, altered the user information and posted over $700 in charges.

Criminal Mischief: A Forest Park Ave resident reported on Aug. 3 that someone had thrown eggs at his residence, damaging the siding.

Larchmont Police Officers also responded to 12 burglar alarms, eight motor vehicle accidents, nine aided cases and 55 other calls for service.
