Bicyclist Rescued Following Fall At Park In Westchester

A man who suffered a hip injury while bicycling in Graham Hills Park in Mount Pleasant was rescued by firefighters and EMS, according to Kieran O'Leary with the Westchester County Police.

The unidentified man wrecked his bike around 2:02 p.m., Friday along a wooded area of the trail, making it difficult for rescue.

Pleasantville EMS and fire department members were able to rescue the man after more than an hour of work. He was transported with non-life threatening injuries to Westchester Medical Center. 

The bike trails in the Westchester County park are about five miles in distance and are geared toward experienced riders. The route winds through the many diverse habitats in the 431-acre park.
