MAMARONECK, N.Y. - The Village of Mamaroneck police responded to two burglary complaints, one residential and the other commercial. On July 20,a Fayette Avenue business was broken in to and miscellaneous computer equipment was taken, worth approximately $5,300.
A few days later on July 24, a Mamaroneck Avenue resident reported an unknown person entered their apartment, but only personal papers were missing. The incident is under investigation.

Auto accident: A New Rochelle resident, 25, was involved an a two-car accident on Fenimore Road July 24 and taken to the Westchester Medical Center for head injuries.Arrest: Brendan Smith, a 22-year-old Bronxville man was charged with a DWI on July 24 after coming to a traffic stop on Grand Street.Accident; rit and Run: A village of Mamaroneck man, 16, was issued a summons July 24 for operating a vehicle without a license and leaving the scene of an accident after rear-ending a car, causing minor damageAssault: A village of Mamaroneck man, 35, got into a fight in the overnight hours of July 24 on Prospect Avenue and was punched in the face. He refused medical aid and an investigation is pending.Identity theft: An unknown person withdrew approximately $9,000 from a Union Avenue resident's bank account on July 22 without permission.Arrest: A village of Mamaroneck man, 18, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana July 21 by an officer on a routine patrol.Property damage: A 2007 Nissan parked and unoccupied in a lot on July 21 received damage to the rear bumper.
Identity theft: A Guion Drive resident reported July 21 that an account had been opened in their name without permission. The account had $1,300 in charges.Accident pedestrian: A Mamaroneck village man, 44, driving on Halstead Avenue struck a pedestrian crossing the street. The pedestrian, a 60-year-old man from the village of Mamaroneck, was taken to the White Plains Hospital with shoulder pain.
