MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Contractors for a Con Edison project blocked all traffic to one lane on Fenimore Road between Palmer Avenue and Prospect Avenue Wednesday.
Con Edison is replacing the electrical service line to one home on Fenimore Road, after the homeowner reported a disruption in their service. Con Edison contracted Persico to excavate the road and install a two-inch metal duct to hold the wire, said one foreman.
The duct runs across Fenimore Road, connecting the home to the service pole across the street. Persico began work Tuesday and plan to finish Thursday. They were scheduled to complete work Wednesday around 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, they will excavate the opposite side of the road and the curb, at which point Con Edison will connect the house to the new service line.
