Cross With Caution: Two Village Women Hit by Cars

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Two Mamaroneck residents have been hit by cars while crossing the street over the last week. A village woman, 31, was struck while crossing the 600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue Nov. 19 at 1:26 p.m, and was taken to a local hospital with leg pain. The previous morning, a village teenage girl, 14, was crossing Boston Post Road by Mamaroneck High School when she was struck by a car. She was taken to a hospital with stomach pain.

The following incidents were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck Police blotter from Nov. 18 to Nov. 22.

Larceny: An unknown person entered a 2011 Honda while parked and unoccupied on Mamaroneck Avenue Nov. 21 around 4 p.m. The suspect removed a camera, video recorder, wallet and personal papers, worth approximately $800.

Accident Vehicle: A Bridgeport, Conn. woman, 33, driving a 1999 Ford on Mamaorneck Avenue Nov. 21 was rear-ended by a 2009 Dodge. She refused medical attention for back pain.

Arrest: A village man, 24, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Nov. 18 at 6:28 p.m. while on Old White Plains Road.

Larceny: A laptop worth approximately $1,600 was reportedly stolen from an Orienta Avenue location on Nov. 18 around 2:21 p.m.
