LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Jill Slansky goes to Sweet and Social on a semi-daily basis because her kids love it, but she went Thursday for the new business' grand opening, along with over a dozen other cupcake enthusiants.
Larchmont residents, supporters and officials packed Palmer Avenue in front of the cupcake store around 11 a.m., when Mayor Joshua Mandell performed a ribbon cutting. "This is a great addition to the village and it's a favorite of my kids," Mandell said.
Sweet and Social, which had a soft opening June 15, is offering free mini cupcakes from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
"I come all the time, my kids love it," said Randye Zerman, who had one of the first free mini cupcakes Thursday.
