Hit and Run Sends Mamaroneck Boy, 14, to Hospital

MAMARONECK, N.Y. — While driving on Jefferson Avenue March 29, a New Rochelle man, 18, hit a village boy, 14, then drove off, police said. The boy suffered an arm injury and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Village police issued the driver a summons for leaving the scene of an accident involving an injury. 

The following incidents were also reported to the Village of Mamaroenck Police Department between March 26 and March 29:

Identity Theft: A village resident reported March 29 that an unknown suspect opened a credit card account in the resident's name and charged approximately $1,000 to the account. 

Suspicious Incident: On March 28, two vehicles, left unlocked, were entered while parked and unoccupied overnight on Stoneybrook Avenue, according to the police blotter. Approximately $400 was reported missing from one vehicle.  

Suspicious Incident: A Stoneybrook Avenue resident reported March 28 that his car, parked in the driveway, was entered and some loose changed was taken. 

Larceny: An Oakhurst Road resident reported March 28 that someone entered his car, parked in the driveway and unlocked, overnight and stole his iPhone, worth approximately $400.
