I-95 Flooding Cleared, Larchmont Streets Clear

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Flooding on I-95 between exits 18a and 17 blocked the right lane early this afternoon, but has cleared, according to the New York State Thruway Authority.

The New York State Thruway Authority reported flooding between exits 18a and 17 on I-95 at 11:47 a.m. The flooding was later reported to have cleared at 3:07 p.m. The Larchmont Police Department says it has not received any reports of streets flooding.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Westchester County through Monday evening. The chances of rain in Larchmont are 90 percent and one and two inches of new rainfall is expected Sunday evening, according to their website.

"A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding," said the National Weather Service website. "Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warning be issued."
