I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled Through August 7

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Larchmont residents' commute on I-95 just got messy as the New York State Thruway Authority announced lane closures will take place throughout a 13-day pavement repair project already underway.

Temporary single or double lane closures will take place on I-95 both ways from July 26 through August 7, according to the Authority.

Lane closures will take place from 10 p.m. through  6 a.m. at varying locations between Exit 18A, Mamaroneck, Fenimore Road , northbound exit Mamaroneck Avenue northbound and southbound exit and entry and just north of Exit 21, White Plains, Tappan Zee Bridge, I-287. Backups are likely during those hours so motorists might try and steer clear.

Inclement weather or production delays could push back the pavement repair project's anticipated end date, but commuters can get updates before or during their trip by checking the New York State Thruway website or signing up for transit e-mail alerts.

Highway Advisory Radio 530 AM will also be activated to advise motorists of lane closures.
