LARCHMONT, N.Y. – An early morning fire Wednesday overtook Alfredo’s Foreign Car Dealership in Larchmont, closing Boston Post Road from Chatsworth Avenue to Weaver Street.

The Larchmont Fire Department responded to the car dealership at 2050 Boston Post Road around 4 a.m., with assistance from the town and village of Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Pelham and other local fire departments. The fire was under control by 6:37 a.m., but the building suffered major damage and “sounded as if it’s a total loss,” said a Larchmont fire lieutenant.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the Westchester County Cause and Origin team.
