MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A Larchmont man, 21, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for an expired license April 10, said Lt. Robert Koziak of the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.
The Larchmont Acres resident was driving on Palmer Avenue around 1:45 a.m. when a police officer stopped him. The officer discovered his license was expired and issued the driver a vehicle and traffic charge, Koziak said.
Subsequently, the officer found nine grams of marijuana in the car and charged the driver with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. This is the lowest charge for such an offense.
