Larchmont Man Last Seen In Mid-February Remains Missing

New York State Police are seeking the community’s assistance as they search for a schizophrenic man that went missing in Westchester County last month and may require medical attention.

On Monday, state police issued a “missing person” alert for 52-year-old Joseph A. Bodai, who was reported missing from Larchmont on Feb. 17. He was last seen wearing a puffy jacket, green shirt and blue jeans with black and red sneakers.

Police said that Bodai may have been traveling to Port Chester at the time of his disappearance. Anyone with information can contact the Larchmont Police Department at (914) 834-1000 or the Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-3543. Leads can also be emailed to missingpersons@dcjs.ny.gov. All tips can remain confidential.

According to state police, the Missing Persons Clearinghouse publicizes cases involving missing children, missing college students, and missing vulnerable adults that are reported to police, as long as an appropriate family member has consented. Each week, they feature a different profile on social media to help generate potential leads on past cases.
