LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Danny Patel has a big family party planned for Thanksgiving day, but first he has to put in a half-day at the Imperial Milk Mart in Larchmont.
Patel, a Larchmont resident, took over ownership of the Imperial Milk Mart on 14 Chatsworth Avenue last year from Kalpesh Patel, better known to his customers as "Junior" of Junior's Mini Mart on 453 5th Avenue in New Rochelle. Danny has worked in the family business for years, along with several members of his family.
Both the Imperial Milk Mart and Junior's Mini Mart will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After work, both businessmen and their family members working that day will meet at Junior's Larchmont home to celebrate the holiday. "We have plenty of time for family," Danny said. The Patels have relatives coming from as far away as Minnesota.
