Larchmont Workers Report Their Tips Stolen

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- An unknown man stole money from a tip jar, according to charges filed by employees of a Chatsworth Avenue business. The employees reported on Sept. 22 that a man entered the business and took an unspecified amount from the jar, which was kept on the counter.

The following items were also reported in the Larchmont Police blotter from Sept. 17 to Sept. 24.

Larceny : A Kane Avenue resident reported Sept. 18 that his bicycle, valued at $300, was removed from the bicycle rack in Manor Park.

Identity Theft : An Oak Avenue resident reported Sept. 21 that she discovered several credit card accounts had been opened in her name, and charges totaling $8,000 had been posted.

Larceny : A Bishop Place resident reported Sept. 22 that his bicycle, valued at $250, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 1, on the Connecticut-bound side of the Larchmont train station.

Larchmont Police Officers also responded to nine burglar alarms, eight motor vehicle accidents, five aided cases and 42 other calls for service.
