Lowey to Host Local Veterans, Call for More Jobs

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Local veterans and business leaders will join Rep. Nita Lowey (D – 18th Congressional District) in Mamaroneck Thursday to call for immediate action to help find jobs for returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

They will assemble at the side entrance of the Mamaroneck Library, on Library Lane, at noon. Lowey will also be joined by David Singer, president of Robison Oil.

Lowey, who celebrated the Democrat victories in the town's local elections Tuesday at Roasted Peppers, will also present overdue service medals to veterans from Mamaroneck and the City of Rye.
