- State Police are investigating a bank robbery at the People's United Bank in Mamaroneck that came after another People's United Bank was robbed just two hours earlier in Brewster on Monday, Dec. 23.
- A 37-year-old California wine collector was convicted of fraud for shipping counterfeit wine to Mamaroneck as part of a $1.3 billion scheme to sell fake wine.
- Luis Alomar, a fugitive suspected in a string of bank robberies along the Eastern Seaboard, including possibly in Westchester and Fairfield counties, was taken into custody at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Medford, Long Island, N.Y., the FBI said.
- Gov. Andrew Cuomo is reminding Westchester County residents that state and local police will be enforcing distracted driving laws and utilizing sobriety checkpoints to deter drunk driving during the holiday season.
