MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A Village of Mamaroneck man was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment on consecutive days, according to Detective Sandra DiRuzza of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.
Elias Lopez-Miranda, 27, was part of a fight amongst friends Aug. 6 that landed him in handcuffs for hitting a 31-year-old man in the face on the 400 block of Mamaroneck Avenue. The suspect was charged with third-degree assault and the victim was treated for a swollen lip at Sound Shore Medical Center.
The next day, a 30-year-old village man slapped Lopez-Miranda with a harassment charge, claiming the suspect hit him and caused swelling to his forehead. Lopez-Miranda was charged with second-degree harassment.
DiRuzza noted that everyone involved knew each other.
