MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A village man, 26, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly punching another village man, 17, in the face on Center Avenue Sept. 18. Police reports said the victim suffered a contusion to the face and was transported to the hospital. The suspect, Yovani Ariel Diaz, is due back in court Sept. 22.
The following items were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck police blotter from Sept. 16 to Sept. 19:
Someone allegedly broke into a 2004 Toyota parked on Livingston Avenue Sept. 17. The rear vent window was broken and a GPS and miscellaneous coins worth about $150 were taken, according to police.
Police charged a Port Chester man, 33, with DWI after stopping him for a traffic offense at Harbor Island Park Sept. 17.
A village man was charged with third-degree robbery Sept. 16 for forcibly taking $20 from a 21-year-old victim on Old White Plains Road, police said.
Police received a report that someone stole earrings worth $38 from a jewelry business on the 200 Block of Mamaroneck Avenue Sept. 16. The business declined to press charges.
