MAMARONECK, N.Y. A village man, 22, was charged with third-degree assault and obstruction of breathing for grabbing a Rye man, 22, by the neck and punching him in the face, police said. The alleged victim, who knew the Mamaroneck man, refused medical attention, according to the police report. The altercation happened on E. Boston Post Road Nov. 13 around 4 a.m. The following incidents were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department blotter: Burglary Residential : A Shore Acres Drive resident noticed pry marks on his or her homes rear door, as well as possible damage to the lock on the front door Sunday. No one entered the home, according to the police report. Criminal Mischief : Police said an unknown person vandalized six vehicles with orange spray paint on Fourth Street and neighboring streets around 8 a.m. Sunday. Reports said that in addition to damaging a 2011 BMW, 2000 Volkswagen, 2001 Pontiac, 2003 Honda, 2011 Subaru and 2011 Audi, a garage door was also spray painted. Arrest : A New York City woman, 39, gave village police false information after being stopped on E. Boston Post Road on Sunday, according to a police report. She was charged with false personation.
