Mamaroneck Man Charged with Sale of Cocaine

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Village police nabbed a village man, 26, in possession of cocaine on Old White Plains Road Nov. 3, and charged him with 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance near school, both Class "B" felonies. A New Rochelle man, 29, who was also at the scene, was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.

The following incidents were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck Police blotter from Nov. 1 to Nov. 5.

Recovered Stolen: A 1992 Honda reported stolen on Sept. 23 was recovered in the Bronx, according to a Nov. 3 report in the blotter. The condition of the vehicle is unknown.

Harassment: A verbal altercation turned violent Nov. 3 outside on Old White Plains Road. A village woman, 19, was arguing with an acquaintance, who, police reports said, then grabbed and pulled her hair. The village male, 38, was charged with second-degree harassment.

Accident Vehicle: A New Rochelle woman, 79, was taken to the hospital Nov. 2 after a 2010 Land Rover rear ended the 2004 BMW she was riding in on the passenger side. The woman suffered a neck and back injury, according to the report.

Larceny: A village resident's barbecue grill was taken from his backyard on English Place without permission sometime between Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. and Oct. 31 at 8 a.m. The grill is worth approximately $550.
