MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A 54-year-old Mamaroneck man told police March 14 that someone stole his nickel-colored Smith & Wesson fire arm with a pearl grip and a two-inch barrel worth $500. The victim said he left the weapon in his car, which was parked in his driveway and left unlocked. The following incidents were also reported to the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department. Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident : A New Rochelle man told police someone hit his car while it was parked at 2460 Boston Post Road March 12 around 4:45 p.m. When the victim returned to the car, they saw the front right fender and wheel well had been damaged. Forgery: A Pelham resident told police that someone drew a fraudulent check on their Capitol One Bank account for $4,968.14. The bank, at 1370 Boston Post Road in Larchmont, notified the victim and they reported it to the town police.
