Mamaroneck Parents Organize More Events To Restore Modified Sports

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Save Our Tiger Teams needs to raise $74,000 by Aug. 1 to reinstate the seven modified Mamaroneck teams cut from the school budget three years ago.

Save Our Tiger Teams is a group of concerned parents who came together after the 2010-2011 budget cut seven modified sports teams.

To help the group of concerned parents achieve this goal, you can:

  • Make a donation to the raffle
  • Participate in or attend a soccer match between coaches for MJSL and LJSL at 6:30 p.m. June 12 on Memorial Field at the high school
  • Visit Bar'Lees at 7:30 p.m. June 26 for an evening with "Bill Steely & Where's Dave". Every $10 donation, and 10 percent of all proceeds from the night, will go toward the cause
  • Sing up your child, 12 to 14 years of age, for the Strength, Speed and Conditioning camp. The camp takes place from June 24 to June 28. There is a requested $350 donation to Save Our Tiger Teams

If you visit Bar'Lees between now and August 1st the Mamaroneck wine bar will donate 10 percent of your bill if you write "Save Our Tigers" on it.

Any donations may be sent to 1214 West Boston Post Road, Box 266, Mamaroneck, NY  10543. Note “save our tigers 2013” on the check.

Donations to the District are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
