MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- There will be nighttime construction work next week at the intersection of Boston Post Road and North/South Barry Avenue, the village has announced.
The work will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 5-10, the village said. The catch-basin and storm drainage improvement project will require lane closures of Boston Post Road, at the intersection of Boston Post Road and North/South Barry Avenue since a trench is required for the work to take place.
To minimize the impacts on traffic and business, the village of Mamaroneck in coordination with the state Department of Transportation arranged to have the work done at night, the village said.
The village urges drivers to consider alternate routes during this time to avoid anticipated traffic back-ups. Some nearby parking may be suspended during the work hours and, if so, they will be posted, the village said.
If the construction schedule changes because of weather, field conditions or excavation conditions, the village will post updates here . Updates can be emailed to you by signing up here . The next update will be posted approximately by mid-August.
