Mamaroneck Police Charge Women with Prostitution

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A New Jersey woman was charged with prostitution and third-degree attempted sexual abuse by Village of Mamaroneck police officers Aug. 3. Police responded to Ward Avenue, where they arrested Fenglan Liu, 49, who is free on bail. She is due back in court Aug. 11.

 

The following items were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck Police blotter between Aug. 2 and Aug 4.

 

Criminal Mischief: The passenger-side window of a 2008 Mitsubishi was broken while parked and unoccupied on Phillips Park Road, the owner reported Aug. 4.  

 

Larceny: A resident reported Aug. 4 leaving her wallet at a Palmer Avenue location, only to return and find it was taken by an unknown female without permission. An investigation is pending.

 

Arrest: A Village of Mamaroneck man, 20, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was found with a stolen cell phone.

 

Larceny: Police received a report Aug. 2 of a vehicle being entered while parked on 4th Street. There were no signs of forced entry, but $40 was taken. Police reported the theft may have occured anytime between July 31 and Aug. 2.

 

Between Aug. 2 and Aug. 4, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department responded to 92 total calls.
