Mamaroneck Police Investigate Assault Of Two Men

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Two men were assaulted and robbed on Mamaroneck Avenue early Sunday by three unknown males, police said.

A 22-year-old and a 24-year-old were walking down Old White Plains road near the Mamaroneck Avenue intersection at about 5:15 a.m. when a van pulled up next to them. Someone inside asked if they needed a ride. When the men tried to walk away, three males got out of the van and demanded money, police said.

During the altercation, both victims received bruises, and a gold chain was taken from the 22-year-old, who was later taken to the hospital with pains.

Village of Mamaroneck police are investigating the incident.

  • Bojan Solzdanovski, 22, of the Village of Mamaroneck was charged with third-degree assault after a 23-year-old female from Harrison told police she was struck in the face by an unknown male on Aug. 18.
  • A Mamaroneck Avenue store employee reported to police on Aug. 16 that a man came into the store the day before and used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase.
  • A 19-year-old woman from Mount Vernon was charged with driving while intoxicated by Village of Mamaroneck police on Aug. 15 after officers received a complaint about people being in Harbor Island Park after hours. Police arrived at the park at about 1 a.m. and charged Tiffany Rodriguez with DWI. Police issued her a summons charging her with being in the park during prohibited hours and unlawful possession of alcohol. She was released on her own recognizance and is due in court Aug. 23. Police also charged a 21-year-old woman from the Village of Mamaroneck and a 21-year-old New Rochelle man with being in the park after hours with Rodriquez. The New Rochelle man was also charged with possession of an open container of alcohol. Both are due in Village Court on Aug. 28.
