MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A Mamaroneck teenage boy received justice Monday when the five men who allegedly robbed him at knifepoint Aug. 18 were arrested following a joint investigation by the Town of Mamaroneck and Village of Dobbs Ferry police departments.
Four of the five suspects are Yonkers residents: Ramon E. Pena, 20, Jason F. Reis, 17, Nicholas R. Salgado, 18, and Michael F. Marta, 18. The fifth suspect, 21-year-old Garret P. McCaul, is from Ardsley.
All five suspects have been charged with first-degree robbery in Mamaroneck, as well as second-degree robbery in Dobbs Ferry in connection with another incident the same day.
The group is suspected of robbing and assaulting a 21-year-old victim in Dobbs Ferry. A press release said the men punched the victim in the face repeatedly and stole his cell phone.
Earlier that day, they allegedly approached a Mamaroneck teen while he was walking on Weaver Street at 12:15 a.m. and stole his iPhone, wallet and keys. The victim was held at knifepoint and put in a headlock chokehold. The teen suffered a cut to his face, according to the press release.
