MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The 2012 Town Budget adopted at the Dec. 14 meeting of the Town Council cuts hours at the Hommocks pool beginning Jan. 2 through June 15.
During that period, the pool will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9:10 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9:10 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6:10 p.m. The pool will no longer be open Friday nights.
"The only time that was completely cut out was Friday evenings," said Stephen Altieri, town administrator. "We will no longer operate from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m."
The hours of operation on all other days were cut by at least an hour. During school vacations and holidays, the pool will no longer open early at 5 p.m. Instead, it will follow the regular times already mentioned.
