Mamaroneck Village Moves Lwrp Update Meeting

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Recent interest from the public in the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) led the Village of Mamaroneck to move Thursday's meeting from the Regatta Conference Room to the village courtroom to accommodate the amount of people expected to attend, said village manager Richard Slingerland.

"There's been a broad interest in the LWRP update," said Slingerland, who estimated between 15 and 20 people had shown up at recent meetings.

The LWRP, a state program adopted in 1984, is a local committee made up of members from several different land-use boards and consultants, who address issues affecting the quality of the local waterfront.
