Man Charged With Resisting Arrest, Attempted Assault

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Larchmont police arrested a New Rochelle man Sept. 10 after police said his ex-girlfriend filed a complaint. Pedro Garcia, 40, was charged with third-degree attempted assault and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. His bail was set at $5,000.

The following items were reported in the Larchmont police blotter from Sept. 10 to Sept. 17:

Larceny: Employees of the Chatsworth Avenue CVS reported Sept. 11 that two individuals stole property valued at $250.

Criminal Mischief: Larchmont Police found the wooden staircase at the end of Coolidge Street leading into Pinebrook Park damaged on Sept. 14. The Larchmont Department of Public Works estimates the damage at $1,000.

Larceny: A Larchmont Avenue resident reported on Sept. 14 that his bicycle, valued at $100, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 1, next to the Larchmont train station.

Criminal Mischief: A Woods Way resident found that someone allegedly forced nails into the tires of his or her car in the overnight hours of Sept. 16.

Larchmont Police Officers also responded to eight burglar alarms, two motor vehicle accidents, two aided cases and 62 other calls for service.
