Diego Salazar was located in a wooded area near Brewster Heights and has been transported to Putnam County Hospital for evaluation, according to officials.
Salazar, who has autism and epilepsy, was last seen at his home on Allan Road in Brewster at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, wearing a multicolored long-sleeve shirt and jeans.
A staging area had been established near the Garden Street School and nearly 100 authorities assisted in the search, according to officials.
State police and Westchester County police were also involved in the search, which includes police and fire departments from multiple municipalities, including New Fairfield, Conn. Westchester County Police K-9 bloodhound and aviation assisted in the search.
