Modern-Day Robin Hood Mails Parking Tickets Back to Town

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - An unknown person played the role of Robin Hood, removing parking tickets left on the windshield of ten different cars parked on Jefferson Street from Nov. 17 to Nov. 23 and mailed them back to Town Center, said Lieutenant Robert Koziak, of the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department. A town employee reported the obstruction of governmental administration when she received the envelope holding ten tickets for ten different vehicles. The following incidents were also reported in the Town of Mamaroneck Police blotter.Petit Larceny: A Larchmont resident, 46, reported that their 2010 Trek bicycle was stolen from the Hommocks soccer field sometime between Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. The bicycle is worth approximately $400.Theft of Services: An unknown woman took a taxi to 148 Valley Stream Road E Nov. 26, then stiffed the driver on the fare. The Central Taxi of Scarsdale driver told police she said she had to get money to pay for the fare, but never came back. The taxi service is not pressing charges. Disorderly Conduct: On a routine patrol, a police officer noticed someone laying down on a bench in front of Central School Nov. 27. When the officer questioned him, the party became belligerent and began yelling and cursing, resulting in an arrest.
