New Rochelle Childhood School Put On Lockdown After Gun Threat

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle's Barnard Early Childhood Center was placed on lockdown on Friday after two college students were arrested outside of the school with guns, according to News 12 Westchester.

The suspects were in possession of pellet guns when authorities apprehended them. They had allegedly been squirrel hunting, News 12 Westchester reported. 

The lockdown was lifted just after 2 p.m. and police officers were stationed at every school for dismissal, News 12 Westchester said.
