Pro Squash Tournament Kicks Off in Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The Pro Squash Tour makes a stop in Mamaroneck this weekend for a three-day tournament and clinics for children and adults with two-time Pro Squash Association champion David Palmer.

All matches and events will take place at Westchester Squash on 628 Fayette Avenue. The action kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. with qualifying matches. On Saturday, the quarter-finals will begin at 11 a.m. and the semi-finals at 5 p.m. The tournament raps up Sunday for the finals match, as well as a third and fourth place match, at 12:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $20 per round, except Sunday's final match, which costs $50. On Saturday, children get in for $10. A weekend package including the final match costs $80.

Saturday and Sunday, Palmer will hold clinics for children from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. for $75. Also on Saturday, children and adults can take their shot at beating the world champ from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Going one-on-one with Palmer is $50 per game.
