MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A lane of West Boston Post Road is being closed for repairs, from Rockland Avenue to Mamaroneck High School.
The road work is being done in the right lane of West Boston Post Road to grind down bumps in the road in order to make driving smoother, workers said.
The construction began this morning and workers at the scene said they probably won’t be finished today.
Closing the right lane has caused some traffic delays on West Boston Post Road, and officials remind drivers to be aware that they need to slow down when they merge from two lanes to one - especially if the construction coincides with the end of the school day.
Construction should hopefully stop by 2:30 p.m. today, according to one of the workers - but drivers should be aware that the road work is likely to continue tomorrow.
