Residential Gardens Eligible For Mount Kisco Contest

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The Mount Kisco Beautification Committee is sponsoring the Mount Kisco Residential Garden Contest.

Steinhardt Garden in Mount Kisco opens to the public one day in spring and one day in fall. Residential gardens may enter a Mount Kisco contest.

Residential property located in Mount Kisco that conforms to all Village codes will be judged by the following measures:

Interesting and appealing
Well tended
Has pleasing combinations of plant materials
Remarkable for its design or originality
Enhances the look of the neighborhood

The contest judging will be at September's Beautification Committee meeting (usually first Wednesday of month).

Selected judges will follow up with site visits to the top locations.

Prizes include first, second and third.

Winners will receive Village and news recognition, a certificate, and recognition letters.

Registration (by 5 p.m. Aug. 15) with photos of garden and releases for photos must be mailed to Mount Kisco Beautification Committee, Village/Town of Mount Kisco, 104 Main St., Mount Kisco, N.Y. 10549.
