Residents Have Cars, Property and Identity Stolen

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - The Larchmont Police Department reportedly received complaints from two residents who had thousands of dollars of property stolen. A Pine Ridge Road resident reported on July 9 that someone entered their residence and removed property worth over $8,500. On July 11, a Pawling man reported that his vehicle had been stolen, while parked outside of his Palmer Avenue business.

The following items were also reported by the Larchmont police blotter:

• Graffiti: A Larchmont Police Officer discovered graffiti in the roadway at Flint Ave and Flint Place on July 12.

• Identity Theft: A Rockwood Drive resident reported July 12 that someone added himself to his cell phone account using his social security number and proceeded to purchase an iPhone on the account.

• Criminal Mischief: A Department of Public Works employee reported July 13 that someone damaged two parking meters at the train station lot.

• Larchmont Police Officers also responded to 17 burglar alarms, two motor vehicle accidents, nine aided cases and 55 other calls for service.
