SCARSDALE, N.Y. Scarsdale firefighters, Westchester police and Con Edison workers were at the scene of a reported gas leak at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The gas odor hung heavy in the air on Mamaroneck Road at the entrance to the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway in Scarsdale where there had previously been reports of a leak, firefighters said. Saturday night's suspected leak was in the crosswalk area, according to Scarsdale Fire Department Capt. Gerard McIlvain.
Anyone driving in the area should use caution as workers are expected to be on scene to make repairs.
