LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- One side of Chatsworth Avenue between Addison Street and Boston Post Road is blocked off while crews replace a sewage pipe.
Traffic Monday was limited to one lane both ways, causing minor delays. Vitello Sewer, Water Main and Heating and Plumbing Service began excavating a strip of road in front of Village Maria to access the sewer pipe, which feeds the Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate Center building on the corner of Chatsworth Avenue and Boston Post Road.
The pipe replacement is an upgrade and is expected to be completed within two days, said one foreman on the site Monday. Police have blocked parking in front of the Post Office to make enough room for traffic both ways.
