MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Construction crews have blocked off a small portion of the right lane on Mamaroneck Avenue while they replace the sidewalk and curbing in front of Dip In Carwash Thursday.
The crew is replacing the sidewalk and curb as part of the Village of Mamaroneck's sidewalk improvements project, which was contracted out to PCI, a Mount Vernon-based construction company.
While foremen excavated the sidewalk in front of Dip In Carwash on the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and Grand Street, four other PCI crew members were completing the section between Center Avenue and Waverly Avenue, which they have been working on since last week.
Foremen from both crews said they expect to complete work on their respective ends of Mamaroneck Avenue by next week, and begin working on the east side between Van Ranst Place and Jefferson Avenue.
