After a weekend of dreary weather in Mamaroneck, the sun came out on Tuesday and temperatures rose into the high 70s. A warm breeze came in from the harbor with wispy clouds overhead, which is what brought Brian Carter back to his old hometown. "I love the Sound," Carter said, dipping a mozzarella stick from Garden Catering into some sauce. "I love the water." Carter, 46, an audio technician living in New Rochelle, grew up in Mamaroneck and decided to have lunch at his favorite spot near Harbor Island Park while he got an oil change. As he looked out at the boats on the water, he mentioned that he had installed the sound system on one of Bernie Madoff's yachts. "One of these days, I 'd like to get my own boat," he said.
