WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The storm system that produced snow much of the day Thursday across all of Westchester County has wound down, but that isn't the end of the wintry weather as drivers across the region are dealing with wet, slushy and snowy highways.

After reaching only the mid-20s during the day Thursday, those frigid temperatures will freeze the water and slush on pavement, creating hazardous travel conditions on roads and highways into the Friday morning commute.

Snow totals across Westchester varied, with another inch or two of snow possible. Here are numbers from the National Weather Service:

Harrison: 6.1 inches

Rye Brook: 6.0 inches

Yonkers; 5.5 inches

Katonah: 3.0

Somers 2.5

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 23. But frigid wind chills of -10 to 5 degrees will continue.
